TCP Defender Steering Rack Frame Backing Brace

Designed to fix a recently exposed problem, this 1/4in steel backing plate is a must for all Defender owners! It appears that the connection points at the frame for the steering racks are showing signs of fatigue and stress cracking is occurring on reported accounts.  This brace offers the much needed frame support for both the OEM and aftermarket billet steering racks. It eliminates flexing of the frame and spreads the forces over a wider surface area which helps to prevent premature cracking and frame failure. 

Fitment:

• 2016 to 2019 without modification
• 2020 and later models, the factory fasteners (nuts) will have to be removed for the product to function properly.
